Call limits within Connectel (country-based and cost-based restrictions)

Created by Hannah Peters, Modified on Fri, 25 Aug 2023 at 08:18 AM by Hannah Peters

By default, all outbound telephone calls from Connectel are restricted, and you are only allowed to make calls within your country of operations. There is also a Call limit (cost-based restriction) to calls outside of Scandinavia which is reset every day. If you need to allow calls towards additional destinations or extend the Call limit, you need to contact Connectel Helpdesk by submitting a ticket. The service request is free of charge.

How does the country-based restriction work?
Country-based restriction allows our customers to select certain countries they are allowed to call. Calls to countries not included in this list will be blocked. This feature is particularly useful to prevent accidental or unauthorized international calls, as well as fraudulent calls resulting in unexpected expenses.

What is cost-based restriction?
Cost-based restriction enables our customers to set a daily budget per destination for their phone calls. This helps prevent unexpected overage charges and keeps phone expenses within a set budget.

Will emergency calls be affected by these restrictions?
No, emergency calls (such as calls to 112) are exempt from these restrictions.
Note that emergency calls are only available within Sweden.
